A Flaw with Digital Photography

I think the worst thing about digital photography is the expectations it creates. You take a photo, you have expectations, you look at photo, it does not meet your expectation. You feel you've failed, you dismiss it or maybe you delete.

With film, you shoot, you see it days or weeks later. Expectations are most likely forgotten and gone. You are now open to anything on the roll. For me, that's the single biggest negative (no pun) with digital photography.

So here's a solution recommended by two outstanding photographers, Markus Hartel and Michael Penn. Shoot your digital cameras with the monitors off. Wait a few days and then look at your photos. Try it and see...
